Shidou, Risa
Summary
As the manager of the first-string team under Coach Daimon, Shidou Risa holds a status one year above Kō and is the daughter of the stand-in principal. A former foreign exchange student who has recently returned to Japan, she considers herself superior to the baseball players and refuses to perform any actual work, instead treating the team members—particularly those from the prefab squad—as her personal servants. Despite her official title, she possesses very little interest in or knowledge of baseball. During the rematch practice game between the first-string and prefab teams, she is away on vacation in Europe. When the regular principal returns, she is dismissed from the team and takes up employment at her mother's boutique. Even following her parents' divorce, she continues to attempt leveraging their influence for personal gain. After successfully auditioning for a role in a TV drama, she quits the baseball team entirely and establishes her own fan club at school. Nevertheless, she displays a slight guilty conscience regarding her failure to contribute meaningfully to the team in her managerial role.
