Summary

Rei, known as Ray in the Viz English manga, serves as the successor to Nanto Suichouken, a style renowned for being the most elegant among the Nanto Seiken. He embodies the Star of Justice. Initially presented as a ruthless, chauvinistic mercenary whose loyalties shift based on the contract, his singular goal is to assassinate the man with seven scars, whom he holds responsible for kidnapping his sister Airi. He joins Kenshiro in an agreement with Mamiya to defend her village from the Fang Clan. Once Airi is located and saved by Ken, Rei transitions into Kenshiro’s most trusted ally, providing crucial support throughout several story arcs.
