Wapol

Summary

Wapol served as the former monarch of the Drum Empire, which was subsequently renamed the Sakura Kingdom. His physiological capabilities are defined by his consumption of the Baku Baku no Mi, a Devil Fruit that grants him the ability to ingest virtually any object and adopt its physical properties. He frequently employs this power in combat against Monkey D. Luffy, utilizing tactics such as compressing his two advisers into a single entity or firing explosives from pistol-shaped arms known as the Baku Baku Factory. In one instance, he attempted to consume the entire arsenal within his massive armory to transform himself into a living superweapon, though Nami successfully stole the key from him during the encounter. After the defeat of chessmarimo, Luffy pursues Wapol into a chamber where the ruler unveils a massive artillery piece dubbed the Bre King Royal Drum Crown VII Cannon. However, the weapon fails to fire because its barrel is obstructed by a snowbird nest. One of Wapol’s most bizarre feats involves swallowing his own body mass to eliminate excess fat, allowing him to shrink into an emaciated form sufficient to squeeze through a narrow doorway while pursuing Nami. Throughout his reign, he frequently boasts about his status as the king of Drum Island. His rule ultimately ends when Luffy defeats him using the Gomu Gomu No Bazooka, launching Wapol far from the island into a forest village. Upon awakening, he consumes everything in his vicinity, shifting his appearance based on what he eats. He discovers a talent for crafting toys from these materials, which entertains the local children. Recognizing his potential, a local man offers him employment, leading Wapol to accept. Through his toy-making endeavors, he rises to become the CEO of a massive toy corporation and eventually enters a relationship with Miss Universe.
