Summary
Smile is a member of the Katase High table tennis club, alongside his best friend Peco. In contrast to his teammates, he views the sport merely as a job or a means to pass the time rather than something to be enjoyed for fun. He often allows less skilled players to win out of consideration for their feelings. Ironically, the other members nicknamed him Smile because he never smiles during play.
