Summary
Shinako is a young woman who suffers from nightly visits by the yokai Jami, who silently looms over her bed. Unable to resolve the issue herself, she reaches out to Kiyotsugu via his website, prompting a visit from the Kiyojūji Paranormal Patrol. Unbeknownst to the group, the local priest from Hideshima Shrine, who claimed to be exorcising the house with wards, was actually colluding with real estate brokers. They exploited the Jami rumors to purchase the Suganuma family’s land at a discount for demolition and personal profit. When the priest’s talismans reveal themselves as shikigami attacking Shinako, Jami intervenes to save her. Rikuo appears in his night form, deduces the conspiracy, and escorts Shinako and Jami to the shrine. There, Shinako overhears the true plot, leading to a confrontation where she is saved by Rikuo and local yokai. Jami blocks the priest’s final attack with shikigami. It is revealed that Jami has protected the Suganuma line since serving her ancestor Sadamori Suganuma as a human lord. Realizing her error, Shinako apologizes and expresses her gratitude. To thank the Kiyojūji Paranormal Patrol, she gifts them several boxes of crabs.
