Summary
Kaito is Kei's estranged childhood friend who plays a crucial role in Kei's flight from authorities. Despite having not spoken to Kei in years, Kaito learns of his status as an Ajin and immediately resolves to aid him, helping him escape from his pursuers. During their escape, the pair encounters numerous obstacles and nuisances. Throughout these events, Kaito steadfastly refuses to view Kei as an Ajin, insisting instead that he is simply human.
