Summary
Chikage is a thirty-four-year-old man who has been acquainted with Tachibana since childhood, owing to his mother’s employment as a live-in housekeeper at the Tachibana residence. Often described as clumsy and somewhat slow on the uptake, he is viewed as something of a burden. At the behest of Tachibana’s worried parents, he takes up residence at the bakery "Antique" to serve as a caretaker for Tachibana. Due to his poor eyesight and inherent nervousness, he is rarely seen without his sunglasses. When his glasses are removed, his handsome appearance captivates Ono, who is nearly overwhelmed by the character's notorious "demonic charm." Despite this intense attraction, Chikage successfully evades Ono’s romantic advances, maintaining a strictly platonic "friend only" dynamic. It is also revealed in episode 8 that Chikage has a romantic history, having previously fathered a child named Deko with Sakurako, a well-known author.
