Summary
Takane D. Goodman is a high-school student who secretly practices magic, specializing in an affinity for shadows. Her abilities allow her to summon and command shadow warriors, as well as construct highly elaborate shadow armor that mimics the appearance of clothing. However, when she is defeated and her magic is depleted, this illusionary armor vanishes, leaving her completely naked. This recurring vulnerability causes significant trauma for her, especially since it typically occurs in front of groups of people. Following her defeat by Negi in the Mahora martial arts tournament, her behavior suggests she has developed a crush on him. This sentiment is confirmed near the end of the manga when she challenges him to a fight, demanding that he date her if she wins. After losing to Negi without being stripped, she questions whether he spared her out of pity or because she is no longer attractive to him. She chases him, shouting whether he intends to undress her or go out with her before their "marriage." In the final chapter, Takane and Mei are seen working alongside Akashi Yuna as agents of Megalo-Mesembria.
