Summary
Yubaba is the powerful and greedy witch who operates the spirit bathhouse where Chihiro is compelled to labor. Capable of transforming into a bird, she is primarily known for her harsh demeanor, yet she reveals a caring side exclusively toward her enormous son. To secure the labor of those who begin working at the bathhouse, she enforces a contract that strips them of their names.
