Summary
Guy Shishiou is a courageous and enthusiastic man driven by an unyielding will to survive, even at the risk of his own life. A former astronaut and test pilot for the Space Development Corporation, he was critically injured in 2003 when an extraterrestrial object known as EI-01 collided with his experimental shuttle. The alien mechanical lion Galeon intervened, destroying the threat and rescuing the near-death pilot. Guy’s father, Leo Shishioh, utilized Galeon’s technology to construct a cyborg body equipped with a G-Stone-powered mechanical heart, granting Guy superhuman strength and saving his life. Although legally declared dead, Guy joined the Gutsy Geoid Guard as the commander of its Mobile Unit, fighting alongside his high school sweetheart Mikoto Utsugi. In 2005, when the Zonder Robo EI-02 emerged from Garbage Island, Guy performed Fusion with Galeon and Final Fusion with the GaoMachines to become the Super Mechanoid GaoGaiGar, initiating a prolonged conflict against the Zonder threat. As Cyborg Guy, he utilized "Ultimate Armor," adapted from the ID Armor of the disbanded secret organization ID5. In Equip mode, he covered his right eye with a data-gathering lens, displaying information with the shout "Library." His left hand featured a GaoBrace, which protected his energy-supplying G-Stone and contained a signaling mechanism to summon Galeon via projection beam. The brace also held the sheath for his Will Knife, a bladed weapon with variable sharpness determined by the user's will. In emergencies, Guy could activate Hyper Mode by tapping into the orange energy canisters flanking his face, boosting his power to its limit for three minutes. He could also operate in the vacuum of space for limited periods. Often referring to himself as "mankind's strongest Cyborg," Guy’s body was not invincible; without Mamoru’s restorative powers, he required significant time to recover from battles, and using Hell and Heaven repeatedly could send him to the emergency room.
