At first glance, Abel appears to be merely a clumsy and absent-minded Catholic priest, but this is a facade for his true identity as an ancient Crusnik, a vampire of extraordinary power who is hundreds of years old. Unlike typical vampires, he sustains himself by feeding on the blood of other vampires. Despite his immense strength, Abel adheres to a strict principle of pacifism, frequently refusing to outright kill his opponents. He has sworn never to kill a human again, a vow he upholds with rigorous determination even when it becomes extremely difficult for him. Flashbacks reveal that Abel once harbored a deep hatred for humanity, but this evolved into his current peaceful outlook on life.
