Sugimoto, Kuri
Summary
As the third eldest of the Sugimoto sisters, Kuri presents a cynical and dry demeanor. She stands apart from her siblings by refusing to indulge Yasuko’s every whim, fully recognizing her sister’s selfish tendencies. Kuri harbors deep concern regarding Yasuko’s relationship with Fumi, anticipating that Yasuko will inevitably cause the younger girl pain. In her personal life, she enjoys smoking. Like her elder sisters, Kuri attended Fujigaya, where she garnered admiration from other girls; however, she largely ignored them and never encouraged their affections, even remaining unaware that her best friend was in love with her. Kuri herself was in love with Kagami, a secret kept from most except for Kazusa and Yasuko. Yasuko eventually revealed this truth out of spite, leading even Shinako to discover the affair. Despite her feelings, Kuri never confessed to Kagami, respecting his engagement to her older sister.
