Summary
Koto serves as the referee for the Dark Tournament and the Makai Tournament, acting as an idol recognized in both the human and demon realms. Although she is a fox demon like Kurama, she appears to lack any special abilities and is eventually replaced by Juri, switching her role to commentary. She harbors a crush on Kurama’s demon form, Yoko. While her amusement at the fighters' suffering in the Dark Tournament initially makes her seem mean, she later clarifies that she only enjoys brutality when both contestants can fight back. This is demonstrated when she attempts to stop Bakken from beating up Kurama by starting a ten-count, proving she is not entirely sadistic. She also has the entire tournament rule book memorized. Briefly, she becomes the object of Chu’s affection, though she does not reciprocate his feelings. Although she sometimes puts on a cute act, she is actually very shrewd and manages to take jabs at Juri for being a former cocktail waitress.
