Xia, Yu Lan
Summary
Born in China, Yu Lan is a sixteen-year-old assassin raised by Gauron alongside her twin sister, Xia Yu Fan. She and her elder sister were commanded by Gauron to eliminate Kaname Chidori, a mission designed to psychologically break Sousuke, who had grown attached to Kaname since being assigned as her bodyguard. Yu Lan harbors deep disgust for Gates, a feeling that dates back to their earliest encounter in Balic when Gates mocked her sympathy for a dead Amalgam commando after executing him without hesitation. In battle, she utilizes dual machetes and is also highly skilled with throwing knives and small arms. While wearing a vest with red linings, she travels to Japan where she is eventually killed by Alastor, Leonard’s massive Arm Slave bodyguard, who strangles her to death. Her corpse is later used by Gates to taunt Xia Yu Fan.
