Summary
Touma Akechi is a sixteen to seventeen-year-old student attending PK Academy, where he is in his second year. Born on September 5th, he stands at approximately 158 centimeters tall. To others, his aura appears as a large string of numerical code, and his guardian spirit manifests as a detective. Due to his parents' divorce, Touma transferred to PK Academy, allowing him to reunite with Kusuo. Kusuo initially failed to recognize him because his surname had changed from Asumi to Akechi. Additionally, Kusuo struggled to read Touma’s thoughts via telepathy because they shifted so rapidly. This difficulty led Kusuo to suspect that Touma was another psychic. When Touma confronted Kusuo regarding an incident at their former grade school, Kusuo hesitated to explain. He first petrified Touma to buy time, then traveled back to the day before he had rampaged through the classroom to alter the past. After failing to change the outcome, Kusuo returned to the present and reversed the petrification. He then revealed his powers to Touma, making him the third person at PK Academy aware of Kusuo’s abilities. Touma has always been brutally straightforward, speaking his mind without filter. He relentlessly responds to everyone, even mocking his classmate Takashi despite being bullied by him. His pure innocence leads him to brag about his friends, such as when he boasted about Saiki’s powers to the class after confirming he was an esper. As a high school student, this behavior becomes more annoying, particularly to Kusuo. Touma’s mind and speech are flooded with words, and his thinking speed matches his talking speed. With two distinct lines of thought and speech emanating from him, it becomes difficult for Kusuo to focus on a single stream of information.
