Summary
Yasuko is a renowned third-year student at Matsuoka Girl's High School, serving as the cool captain of the basketball team. Although Fumi initially mistakes her for a member of the Literature Club upon their first meeting, Yasuko holds a nearly star-like status within both Matsuoka and Fujigaya, with her reputation being even more pronounced at the latter institution. She actively insists on involving Fumi during her visits to Akira’s school, initially motivated by the desire to pass the role of Heathcliff onto Fumi due to their similar height. However, her interest in Fumi deepens significantly over time. Following her visit to Fujigaya Girls Academy and the rejection of Kyouko’s confession, Yasuko asks Fumi out, who accepts. Yasuko possesses a strong passion for the arts, demonstrating exceptional talent as an artist, actor, and avid reader. This accomplished aura may stem from subconscious conditioning experienced in childhood, where she, as the youngest Sugimoto sister, was frequently exposed to the praise directed at her older sisters Shinako, Kazusa, and Kuri. While she appears personable and likeable in public settings, Yasuko is unintentionally bratty and sullen at home, often engaging in conflicts with her third eldest sister, Kuri, who frequently provokes her.
