Summary
Ryouko Takamachi stands out among the Blade Children as their most grounded member, renowned for her sharp wit and exceptional athleticism, particularly her speed, which allows her to outrun nearly everyone. A childhood friend of Kousuke Asazuki, she harbors a strong aversion to killing, a trait that sets her apart from her peers. Her relationship with Kousuke is complex; while she cares for him deeply, she frequently treats him as a punching bag and expects him to buy her food. She also holds a grudge against Eyes Rutherford stemming from past conflicts. Although her history remains largely obscured, it is suggested that a traumatic event occurred involving both Kousuke and Eyes. Ryouko is drawn back into the Blade Children’s conflict after losing a casual game of dodgeball to Eyes, honoring their agreement to join the group on the strict condition that she will never take a life. She remains close to Kousuke and dreams of competing in the Olympics.
