Koumura, Toshio
Summary
Toshio Koumura serves as a language instructor and the homeroom teacher for Tomoya during his first year. Although his age hides a vigorous past defined by his passion for education, he was friends with Kouko Ibuki three years ago. Five years prior, he worked at an engineering school notorious for delinquents, where he was known for his strictness and successfully rehabilitated many troubled students. At Tomoya’s prestigious school, however, his skills are largely unnecessary due to the institution’s reputation. He views Tomoya and Youhei as anomalies and takes it upon himself to improve them, even orchestrating their initial meeting. He retires a year later, before the school arc concludes. In After Story, he returns to help organize the fake graduation ceremony for Nagisa, a plan arranged by Tomoya.
