Vladi, Gasper
Summary
Gasper, also known as Vladi, is a low-class devil and Bishop (Mutation Piece) who originally appeared in Volume 4. A reincarnated devil formerly of half-human, half-vampire heritage, he stands 150 cm tall and weighs 40 kg. He possesses the Sacred Gear Forbidden Balor View, which grants him the power to stop time for anyone he sees, though he initially lacked control over this ability. Consequently, he was sealed by Rias under orders from the elders until she deemed him mature enough to handle the power. Despite his inability to fully command his powers, he can significantly improve his control by consuming Issei’s blood. Personality-wise, Gasper was originally a timid shut-in who enjoyed cross-dressing because he found female clothing cute. He had a peculiar habit of carrying boxes with him at all times. When Issei attempted to boost his confidence, he suggested Gasper wear a paper bag over his face, though Issei noted that the outfit made Gasper look like a molester. As the story progressed, Gasper gradually gained confidence and bravery. His first appearance occurred in Volume 4 after Rias received permission to unseal him, a situation he found distressing. He subsequently trained with Issei, Xenovia, and Koneko to master his Sacred Gear. With guidance from Azazel and assistance from Saji, he improved considerably. During the Khaos Brigade’s attack on the leaders of the Three Factions, Gasper was captured and forced into service. He was eventually rescued by Issei and Rias, with Issei providing his blood to help Gasper control his powers, enabling the pair to overpower the female Magicians.
