Shibusawa, Katsuro
Summary
Katsuro Shibusawa is the renowned goalkeeper of Musashinomori, often referred to as the school's Guardian Deity. Standing at an imposing 183 centimeters, he towers over most of his peers, being only a year younger than Shige among the Junior high cast. His performance is characterized by incredible saves and an almost inhuman ability to detect shots and read opponents' moves, a trait noted by spectators. Unlike many of his teammates, he does not look down on Shō or Josui, once describing their match against Josui as one of the toughest challenges they faced. As the team's captain and the player wearing jersey number 1, he commands great respect and demonstrates excellent leadership skills. He is later selected as a regular for the Junior Senbatsu Team and chosen to serve as its captain, but he is injured shortly before the team departs for Korea, resulting in his replacement by another goalkeeper.
