Summary
Leon is the son of Theo and the father of Nana. In his early years, he traveled throughout Italy alongside his father and daughter. Unlike Theo, Leon had no interest in becoming a puppeteer, having desired to become a doctor since childhood. This ambition led to frequent arguments with his father, but his resolve hardened significantly after Nana fell gravely ill, although she eventually recovered. During his final and most heated dispute with Theo, Leon reiterated his goal to practice medicine and his desire to help other children endure similar hardships. These words enraged Theo, who ordered Leon to leave. Consequently, Leon severed ties with his family and moved to Milan to study under Professor Casella. Several years later, having become a physician who treats impoverished children in Milan, Leon was reunited with Theo and Nana, leading to a reconciliation between father and son.
