Summary
Harukasan is a puchidol that typically presents a friendly demeanor, though it possesses a peculiar habit of biting individuals and refusing to release its grip for extended periods. This creature exhibits the remarkable ability to assume a wide array of forms, with its physical state heavily influenced by environmental factors and interactions. Exposure to cold water causes Harukasan to multiply, often resulting in a pile of copies; Haruka occasionally douses it in water because she finds the duplicates aesthetically pleasing, while Ami and Mami sometimes do the same to sow chaos within the office. These copies can be made to vanish if someone forcefully commands them to "Line up! Return!" (整列！ 戻れ！). The creature is sensitive to bright light and weakens significantly if left in direct sunlight for too long. Consuming food after midnight triggers a transformation into a darker form, characterized by ribbons that reshape into devilish horns. Restoring it to its normal state requires removing the ribbons and retying them in their original configuration. Harukasan can also grow to an immense size, though the exact trigger for this remains unknown. In this giant form, it is generally docile, but if fed, it will attempt to swallow the person providing the food; returning it to normal size necessitates slapping it on the center of its forehead. Its vocalizations include "Harukakka!" (はるかっか), "Kakka!" (かっか), and "Vaai!" (ヴぁ～い), while its dark form is accompanied by a creepy "Ahahahaha..." (アハハハハ…). Notably, many of its forms and traits draw inspiration from the Mogwai and Gremlins in the film Gremlins. The creature was discovered by Iori on a desert island and named by Haruka, making its first appearance in Chapter 4.
