Summary
Rai Uchiha was a shinobi belonging to the Uchiha clan who awakened the Sharingan in his youth and later developed his own Mangekyō Sharingan. During the ongoing conflicts between shinobi clans, his unit was ambushed and nearly annihilated by an opposing force. Rai averted their defeat by sacrificing his left eye to cast Izanagi, allowing him to slaughter the attackers. He then proclaimed the Uchiha clan invincible because of their powerful dōjutsu. His mastery of this forbidden technique eventually led him to lead a small group of shinobi, but his tenure ended when he was challenged and killed by Baru Uchiha, who utilized Izanagi for the same purpose. He made his anime debut in Naruto Shippuuden Episode #338.
