Summary
Joshua Christopher, born in 1909, is the younger brother of Rosette and the Apostle of Hope who serves Aion's Sinners. In the anime, he is identified as the Apostle of Hope, while in the manga, he is one of the seven Apostles and the first to be discovered by Aion. Suffering from chronic illness due to supernatural powers, a sickly Joshua grew tired of his sister’s constant protection. Desiring health and strength to ease her worries, he accepted Aion’s offer and had Chrno’s horns grafted onto his head. This influx of power shattered his sanity, causing him to blur the lines between dreams and reality. His thoughts are consumed by an obsessive fixation on his sister, Rosette. Due to his volatile nature, he is guarded by Fiore, whom he often mistakes for his sibling, though his feelings for her appear to transcend simple confusion. Once a noble boy with a dream of exploring, he has largely forgotten his past, retaining only his deep connection to Rosette.
