Jum Sai, Agaard
Summary
Agaard Jum Sai is a mid-30s Sei and a member of Yami’s One Shadow Nine Fists, wielding the Satsujin Ken with the Flame as his Yami Symbol. Specializing in Muay Thai and Muay Boran, he serves as the master of Tirawit Koukin. Visually, Agaard is a tall, dark-skinned, and heavily muscular man with tribal face tattoos, dark red hair, and bizarre eyes featuring a plus sign in the center, bearing a striking resemblance to Apachai. He maintains a constant smile similar to Diego Carlo and possesses a battle-loving nature, preferring to fight only strong opponents and willingly risking his life. Despite his ferocity, he is more laid-back than other Fists and possesses a terrifying, unintentional charismatic aura that allows him to effortlessly influence and control those around him. Intelligent and polite, Agaard frequently quizzes his disciple on enemy behavior and insists on respect for weapon division members, regardless of their strength. His manipulation skills played a key role in his past bond with Apachai, who listened to the then-junior champion. This connection led to a mutual realization that they were walking the same path, culminating in Agaard crying at the prospect of eventually having to kill Apachai. He genuinely cares for Apachai, thanking Kenichi for becoming the disciple’s teacher. When Apachai defeated him, Agaard recognized the Katsujin Ken as equal to the Satsujin Ken and congratulated Apachai on perfecting his Muay Thai through restraint. Tirawit Koukin is terrified of his master, a fear linked to Agaard’s power and Ki release. Koukin likely recognized this power immediately, choosing not to provoke his calm master until his Dou-esque rage against Kenichi. Despite this terrifying Ki, Agaard displays honor by admitting defeat to Apachai and allowing him to decide his fate. Since meeting Kenichi, Agaard has grown to respect the boy, instructing him on fighting the Bantou Master to save his life. He also refrained from scolding Koukin for his loss, praising the fight as magnificent. As a teenager, Agaard discovered Apachai’s extreme Muay Thai abilities in an underground Thai ring and bought him from a crime boss using the promise of large amounts of food. Years later, both men promised to reach the top of the ring. After their master’s death, Agaard threw a final match to ensure Apachai remained at their gym rather than being sent elsewhere. He later employed a delayed-killing move against an opponent who died shortly after touching the belt. Eventually, Agaard left his gym, joined Yami, and slaughtered members of various Muay Thai gyms before confronting Apachai. He ended their battle casually after Apachai stopped training to keep his strength in check. Agaard subsequently attacked the Underground Muay Thai headquarters, killing several members and the top three masters of Muay Boran.
