Summary
Takamichi T. Takahata serves as the educator replaced by Negi at Mahora, specifically assuming the role of an art teacher. He is a former member of Ala Rubra who actively participated in the war despite being a child during the conflict. While he is highly respected and well-known within the magic community, he dropped out of magic school because he is unable to perform incantations. Instead, he relies on kankahō, a combat style that blends eastern Ki, western magic, and iaiken, a bare-fist variation of iaidō. Asuna harbors an obsession with him, but he conceals the truth and has erased her memories of the Magic World. He inexplicably feels he has no right to be loved. His fighting techniques and personal habits, such as smoking cigarettes, are modeled after Gateau von Vandenberg, his master and another member of Ala Rubra.
