Metatron
Summary
Metatron, the Great Seraphim, is a young child who holds a deep affection for Sevothtarte, affectionately referring to her as Sevy. He views her as a maternal figure, retaining hazy recollections of her singing him to sleep under the name Lailah. His twin brother, Sandalphon, exists solely as a grotesque mass of flesh and eyeballs within the Cradle. Born from an experiment designed to replicate the powers of the Seraphita, Metatron appears to possess no wings or abilities. However, Sandalphon’s soul resides within him, making Metatron the sole individual capable of restraining his twin, as he serves as the seal for Sandalphon’s true power. To suppress this threat, Lailah had Metatron take specific pills. Yet, once removed from her protection, the sister overseeing him neglects this duty, allowing Sandalphon to take control of Metatron’s body. After Sandalphon is expelled, Lucifer mortally wounds Metatron in an attempt to destroy Sandalphon’s true form. Miraculously, Metatron is revived after Sevy’s spirit visits him, proving her love. He remarks that her warm touch felt more real than the throne of heaven.
