Summary
Once an overweight and unattractive girl who Eikichi defended in the past, Shinomi returns as a striking young woman entangled with Takezawa Akira of the Idaten gang. Following Takezawa’s hospitalization after a fight with Eikichi and their subsequent breakup, she dyes her hair blonde and integrates into the Onibaku social circle. Throughout the series, Shinomi harbors romantic feelings for Eikichi, though he views her more like a sister and hesitates to pursue a relationship. She befriends Nagisa, often seen in her company, and displays a feisty personality with a strong punch, mirroring Eikichi’s traits and making them well-suited. She serves as Tomoko’s makeup artist in GTO, eventually deducing the true identities of Tomoko and Mayu’s teacher by the series' end. Shinomi later reappears in GTO: Shonan 14 Days as the second caretaker at White Swan.
