Raven
Summary
Raven is an eighteen-year-old serving as Edgar’s personal attendant and the half-brother of Ermine. Distinguished by his mysterious green eyes and formidable combat abilities, he is secretly a half-demon, a heritage that has led to his rejection by many. Edgar holds control over the sprite within Raven, granting him the power to command Raven’s actions, though Raven believes Edgar would never exploit this influence. Grateful for Edgar’s acceptance despite his mixed lineage, Raven serves him with dedication. He is also committed to protecting Lydia, recognizing her as "Lord Edgar's Fairy Doctor," and offers her assistance or compliments even without direct orders. Once viewed as nothing more than a killing machine, Raven has historically been nearly emotionless, responding primarily to the directives of those he obeys. Over the course of the series, however, he begins to exhibit his own emotions, a development that pleases Edgar. He is self-conscious about his youthful appearance, having once brooded when Ermine noted that maids mistook him for a fifteen-year-old. Despite his profound loyalty to Edgar, Raven has shown independent thought by hiding his suspicions about Ermine and pleading for Ermine’s sake. He also appears to have a fondness for Nico, Lydia’s cat.
