Fuuma, Kotarou
Summary
Makora, whose true identity is Fuuma Kotarou, shares a childhood bond with Sasuke. He harbored deep resentment toward Sasuke, believing that his friend had attempted to kill him. In reality, Kotarou had been temporarily possessed by the genuine Indara, who forced him to assault Sasuke. Sasuke was merely acting in self-defense, yet Kotarou’s memory only retained the image of Sasuke as the aggressor. Kotarou possesses the power to manipulate shadow entities and conceal himself within them. His signature technique, Kageochi, traps opponents by forcing them to drown in their own shadows. Eventually, he is defeated by Sasuke after coming to the realization that Sasuke had no intention of taking his life. The two had previously sworn a pact of friendship while residing in Aokigahara. Upon learning the truth about the possession, Kotarou sacrificed himself to protect Sasuke from an attack by Indara, which proved fatal for him.
