Summary
Android 19 is a massive android characterized by his entirely white skin, constructed by Dr. Gero specifically to eliminate Son Goku as retribution for the destruction of the Red Ribbon Army. He makes his debut alongside Android 20 on an island located nine kilometers southwest of South City. The two begin causing chaos until they are intercepted by Goku and his companions, who had received advance warning of their arrival from Trunks. In combat, he possesses the ability to absorb energy from his opponents using his hands to gain a significant advantage. According to creator Akira Toriyama in "Dragon Ball Full Color: Artificial Humans & Cell Arc Volume #03," the design for No. 19 was inspired by a doll displayed in the command center of an enemy base, which Dr. Gero had taken back as a war trophy during an earlier conflict.
