Summary
Taiki serves as Nakatsu’s roommate and possesses the unique ability to perceive ghosts and detect auras, a skill he frequently utilizes to conduct aura reports for his friend. He also maintains a practice of doing yoga. Upon his initial arrival at Osaka High, Taiki faced teasing from peers because of his ESP capabilities, but Nakatsu views him as a genuine friend. In volume 4, Nakajo revealed that Kayashima’s given name originates from Kayashima Station on the Keihan Main Line. He recounted a story that many workers suffered injuries during the station's construction because a massive tree was slated for removal. The tree was ultimately preserved, and the station was built around it. Coincidentally, the name Taiki translates to large tree.
