This announcer serves as the host for every Tenkaichi Budokai tournament, spanning the entire run from the original Dragon Ball series through to the conclusion of Dragon Ball Z. While his primary role involves commentating on the bouts, he has gradually become an acquaintance to the Z Warriors over the years, fully aware that they are the ones responsible for saving the Earth. In one instance, he incorrectly claims that the group killed Cell, even though it was actually Son Gohan who defeated the villain. He also harbors doubts regarding Mr. Satan's true abilities, a sentiment evident in the episode where Vegeta goes out of control. Throughout the tournaments, except for the 21st, significant disasters occur that elevate his narrative importance. During the King Piccolo Saga, he witnesses Kuririn murdered by Tambourine, the warrior of the Demon King Piccolo. He later plays a crucial role by observing Son Goku’s battle against Piccolo from the sidelines alongside the other spectators, making him one of the few civilians privy to the truth. By the end of Dragon Ball Z, his age becomes apparent as he shows signs of hair loss and has prominent wrinkles, whereas in Dragon Ball GT, his descendant retains white hair. Despite his skepticism about Mr. Satan’s actual power to defeat Cell, the announcer praises him to keep the crowd cheering.
