Summary
Okino is the father of Kiki and is described by Miyazaki as a professor of folklore who lacks any magical lineage. He first met Kiki's mother when she arrived in his town during her traditional witch training leave, and they were both young at the time. Character designer Katsuya Kondo based Okino's appearance on actors David McCallum and Akira Terao.
