Konata Izumi is a seventeen-to-eighteen-year-old student residing in Satte, Saitama Prefecture. Standing at 142 cm with blue hair that reaches her calves, she sports a prominent ahoge, sleepy green eyes, and a beauty mark under her left eye, traits she shares with her father, Soujirou. Born on May 28 to a Gemini with blood type A, she is ambidextrous, a rarity among the mostly left-handed main cast. Her online alias is Konakona, and she is affectionately known as "Kona-chan" by her peers. Konata serves as the de facto leader of the group, characterized by her eccentric, friendly, and outgoing nature. She possesses a mischievous yet good-natured sense of humor and is highly intelligent, though she despises studying, leading to inconsistent grades. Instead, she is an expert at pulling all-nighters, primarily to engage in her passions: video games and anime. Her love for these hobbies stems from her father, who introduces her to ero-games, a fact that delights her upon turning eighteen. She frequently references and parodies popular media, particularly the Haruhi series, which is evident in her room’s decorations and a trip to the Suzumiya Haruhi no Gekisou event with her friends.
