Summary
Yanagi is a young girl possessing the natural talent to mend any physical wound. Her compassion becomes evident when she tends to a badly hurt puppy in a neighborhood park, an act that prompts Recca to pledge his service as his loyal ninja; the anime adaptation shows her instead healing him after a stack of metal pipes falls on top of him. Although she develops romantic feelings for Recca, her innocence prevents her from recognizing them. This healing ability makes her the primary target of the main antagonist, Mori Kōran, who seeks to use her power to achieve immortality. In the Filipino dub of the series, she goes by the name Anna.
