Enkidu
Seiyuu / Dub
Summary
Enkidu is recognized as Gilgamesh’s sole true companion, valuing their bond with the same intensity. Although it currently appears in a humanoid shape, Enkidu is not human but rather a living mud entity sculpted by ancient gods. It is genderless, existing simply as a clay monster that descended from the heavens and manifested within a forest. Enkidu holds a deep appreciation for nature, finding solace in the world’s enduring beauty despite the encroachment of cities like Uruk. It is content to sit quietly while its Master rests, immersing itself in the magnificent landscape and the "song of the river." Even when confronting those who harmed its Master, Enkidu maintains a serene and polite demeanor. Its power far exceeds human understanding, with Gilgamesh regarding it as his only equal. Enkidu possesses a profound connection to nature and can speak the animal language (獣の言葉), enabling it to understand, communicate with, and translate the "words" of its Master and other creatures.
