Maeda, Fujio
Summary
Fujio Maeda is the older brother of Taison and Youko Maeda, with Taison noting that when Fujio's veins bulge, even he cannot stand against him. Extremely nearsighted, Fujio relies entirely on glasses or contact lenses to see, a limitation that occasionally causes him to attack the wrong targets. Despite this, he possesses immense strength in arm wrestling and has reportedly remained undefeated for twenty-four years. His appearance, characterized by slicked-back hair, sunglasses, and distinctive clothing, makes him look like a stereotypical yakuza. Although he frequently argues or fights with Taison upon their meetings, Fujio genuinely cares for his younger brothers. He encourages Youko to become independent and steps in to assist Taison whenever he faces trouble. A former delinquent since high school, Fujio's post-graduation ambition was to move to Tokyo and work as a gigolo. This dream was realized, and he now earns his living as a host. Fujio once feared discovering his father, Monson, and being forced to take a job in their hometown of Osaka. However, Monson, unwilling for his son to be a prisoner of his destiny as the child of a priest, gave him his name and raised him with freedom, explaining why Fujio's attitude diverges from his religious origins. His name is derived from the former professional boxer Fujio Ozaki.
