Summary
Bondrewd is a legendary white whistle delver renowned for his profound discoveries regarding the secrets of the Abyss. Driven by an obsessive fascination with the depths, he frequently employed illegal and morally reprehensible methods to fund and conduct his research. These tactics included the illicit sale of artifacts, the development of dangerous drugs, and the horrific experimentation on living humans. Despite his extreme cruelty, he maintained a twisted sense of care for the children and individuals subjected to his brutal trials. Although his actions violated every ethical principle held by delvers, his exceptional results secured him the freedom to continue his work. A decade ago, he achieved the seemingly impossible by establishing the large base known as Idofront in the deepest part of the 5th Layer of the Abyss and securing a passage to the previously inviolable 6th Layer. During his research into the Curse of the Abyss, Bondrewd lured children who sought to uncover the Abyss's mysteries to Ido Front, concealing the fact that they were destined to become test subjects. Among those recruited were Nanachi and Mitty. As his experiments progressed, most of the children were consumed until only Nanachi and Mitty remained. In his final trial, he used both of them, resulting in Mitty succumbing to the Curse of the Abyss while Nanachi was granted the Blessing.
