Pantyhose Tarou
Summary
Pantyhose Tarou is an 18-to-20-year-old martial artist known by various aliases, including Collant Taro, Pantyhose Freak, Baggy Pantyhose, Pantyhose Guy (a term used by Ranma), and the Vulgar One (used by Rouge). He is the son of a woman whom Happosai assisted during childbirth, making Happosai both his godfather and the person responsible for his unique condition. Tarou’s curse is one of the most bizarre in the series, transforming him into a Yeti-Bull-Crane-Eel hybrid. This transformation occurred because he was baptized in the Spring of the Drowned Yeti Holding an Eel and Crane while Riding an Ox, a ritual performed by Happosai during a rare moment of benevolence. In Tarou’s culture, the baptizer names the child, and Happosai chose "Pantyhose" under the misguided assumption that everyone would appreciate the name. Despite the absurdity of his appearance, Tarou takes pride in his cursed form and its power. He even returned to Jusenkyo to acquire an octopus curse, specifically to gain tentacles on his back. Personality-wise, he is cold, sadistic, and thoroughly ruthless. His sole motivation is to capture Happosai in order to have his name changed to something more dignified.
