Summary
As the younger sister of Sawanoi Kou's mother, Hanae serves as Kou's aunt and a distant relative of Kyouko. She is a highly sociable and pleasant woman who enjoys the company of others, standing in stark contrast to her older sister. Hanae finds great amusement in Kyouko and her friends during their summer stay at the family villa. She feels a degree of embarrassment when she accidentally overhears her sister speaking harshly about Kyouko's mother and the guests in a private conversation. Hanae has two daughters who are friendly and appear to be around Kou's age. During one day, the daughters teach Pon-chan, Yassan, and Mogi how to ride horses, while Hanae herself focuses on nursing Fumi and Akira back to health after they contract summer colds.
