Summary
Known as Hell Island, Orona is a sixty-three-year-old human male born on November 7, 1935, under the Scorpio zodiac sign with type O blood. Originally an Amazonian shaman from a small South American village, he witnessed his tribe vanish as younger generations were seduced by modernity. He later became a traveling comedian in New York City, where he first encountered Chocolove McDonell. Orona initially played a prank on Chocolove using a blood bag, prompting the gang-joined youth, whose parents had been killed on Christmas, to attempt to shoot him. Although Chocolove missed, Orona was forced to summon his Spirit Companion, Mic "El Jaguar," to attack. After delivering a joke about saving the world with laughter, he surprised Chocolove by revealing he could see Mic, identifying him as a fellow shaman. Following this meeting, Orona spent six months training Chocolove on the riverbanks near the Brooklyn Bridge to become a shaman.
