Summary
Francesco di Medici holds the title of Duke of Florence and commands the Department of Inquisition. Born as an illegitimate son, he is barred from becoming Pope. He harbors a deep-seated hatred for vampires, which frequently leads to clashes with his younger sister, Cardinal Caterina, as he rejects her methods of negotiation and diplomacy. Unwilling to compromise, he insists on responding with violence, often making decisions that result in the deaths of innocents in the name of God.
