Summary
As the President of the Literature Club at Matsuoka Girls' High School, Ueno maintains a cordial relationship with Fumi, largely due to the small size of the group. The two are frequently depicted engaging in typical club activities, such as reading books and drinking tea together. Ueno is also a close school friend of Sugimoto Yasuko, though she is keenly aware of Yasuko’s widespread popularity. She often teases Yasuko about her nickname, "Mr. Matsuoka-sama," and finds herself increasingly exasperated by her friend’s presence in the club. This frustration stems from the fact that potential new members frequently abandon the Literature Club to join the basketball team in order to follow Yasuko.
