Summary
Nino is an enigmatic girl residing in Arakawa who claims to be from Venus and eventually becomes Kou’s girlfriend. Her name derives from the label "Class 2-3" (Ni-no-san) found on the sweatsuit she always wears. A remarkable swimmer capable of staying submerged for minutes, she frequently fishes in the river to supply the village with food. Although she has a poor memory and often requires Kou to remind her of important details, she lives in a cardboard home with a velvet-lined bed, preferring to sleep in the drawer beneath it. When frightened or angry, she hides by pulling her sweatsuit over her head and climbing onto a streetlamp.
