Kiyoshi, Teppei

Summary

Kiyoshi Teppei serves as the progenitor and ace of the Seirin High basketball team, wearing jersey number seven as a Center. Standing at 193 cm with an athletic build, he was the final member of the original squad to be introduced, having been hospitalized for a knee injury sustained during a game. Although his natural preference is the Point Guard position, he stepped into the Center role to fill a size gap in the roster, a dual-position strategy suggested by Koganei despite the physical contradictions. Outwardly goofy to the point of absurdity, Kiyoshi is actually shrewd and constantly plotting moves that rarely align with others' expectations. His massive hands grant him exceptional ball-handling skills, while his uncanny timing allows him to anticipate and react to opponents after they have already made their moves. Renowned and revered across the high school basketball world, he is one of the few players capable of holding his own against the Generation of Miracles at their peak. During his freshman year, he suffered a severe knee injury that formally required surgery, which would have ended his high school career. Instead, he chose a rehabilitation process that limited his active play to just one year, yet he remains determined to maximize the time he has left on the court.
