Summary
Yuuta Segawa serves as the protagonist, an eighteen-year-old college freshman embarking on a new chapter at the School of Literature within Tama University, though he stands at twenty-three during the OVA. Having lost his parents at a young age, he was raised by his older sister, Yuri. His life took a complicated turn when Yuri married a man with two daughters from a previous relationship, causing Segawa to harbor anger toward the union. When Yuri and her husband subsequently vanished, the three young girls were left without support. Demonstrating surprising reliability, Segawa stepped up to take the children in and pursue legal guardianship. His dependable nature allowed him to quickly bond with the youngest child, Hina, who grew close to him despite his initial reservations.
