Summary
Kanone is a Blade Child exhibiting a dual personality that oscillates between being cute and friendly to manipulative and insane. He shares a deep history with Eyes, having wept for them during childhood when they could not, but their friendship fractured as they matured and diverged on the fate of the Blade Children. Driven by a nihilistic belief that the Blade Children have no hope, Kanone is willing to do whatever it takes to kill those who offer them false hope, even collaborating with the Hunters to prove his point. He views Ayumu as the sole source of hope for the Blade Children and is intent on killing him to extinguish that possibility. Trained in the art of killing from a young age, Kanone demonstrates lethal efficiency, claiming in chapter 35 that he could eliminate all the students in the cafeteria in under twenty seconds.
