Atsui is a shinobi from Kumogakure who stands in stark contrast to his sister Samui. He possesses a hot-headed and spirited attitude that remains evident even during combat. Preferring to attack enemies head-on, he often leaves himself without support. He has a habit of using the word "hot" and admits to creating numerous "hot-shot" catchphrases. Like many other Kumogakure shinobi, Atsui is highly skilled in kenjutsu, wielding a long white katana as a core part of his fighting style. By applying Chakra Flow to combine the blade with his Fire Release nature transformation techniques, he can incinerate a large number of opponents in an instant. The anime also demonstrates his ability to conjure flames with every swing of his sword.
