Summary
Asura is the first-generation Kishin and Great Old One, with his affinity for Madness rooted in the Madness of Fear. He serves as the primary antagonist in Soul Eater, regarded as the most powerful, evil, and dangerous villain in the series. Originally a member of the Eight Powerful Warriors under Lord Death, Asura was considered the group's most valuable asset, known as both the strongest and most feared among his peers. Despite his immense power, he was a deeply fearful individual, often trembling or muttering eerily. The Weapon Vajra attempted to partner with Asura to help alleviate his fears, but Asura ended up devouring Vajra. This act triggered his transformation into a Kishin, leading him to consume human souls and spread madness and chaos globally. Lord Death was compelled to hunt down his own son, skin him alive, and use the skin to seal Asura and his madness away.
